Anastasia Web Busted

I knew it was only a matter of time until I caught Anastasia web in another deceptive practice. The letters that they send to us from the women on thier website are not sent to us because they have seen our profiles and are genuinely interested in us, but rather cynically sent out by you to generate expensive letters using your service.
I can prove it because they sent me a letter from a woman doctor from the Ukraine. Unbeknownst to then I flew that woman into Kiev in December. Her come on letter generated by Anastasia spam machine to generate fees will get them the Attorney General Investigation that you so justly deserve.
Why can't they just run an honest service? Is that asking too much?

agree.
Bride.ru seems to be ok. Some of the ladies aren't.
On Anastasia I often get a reply that doesn't match well with what I sent. Seems like the ladies who do the translating edit a lot, or just make it up.
Usual safeguards. I ask for address and stuff first letter. then I send a letter via USPost. I put in a self addressed envelope. If no reply in a while. Dump that one.

According to the latest information, there are some agencies which publish photos of women who never applied to them or even more who are not available. What do they do this for? The answer is rather simple. The aim of such agencies is to get money from men. Usually such agencies sell women's addresses and they do not have any information about these women. You correspond with a woman for a while, and then you fall in love with her and decide to meet with her. For some objective reasons you are supposed to meet in a place somewhere away from her residence (in your country or in the cities of Europe). She asks you to sponsor her travel arrangements. You send her money and then you kiss the money good-bye. It's the last time you hear from her. You can look for services of marriage agencies that have web cam in the office like www.lovemage.com. The web cam is www.lovemage info. You can watch them working in the office, and make sure that the women are real. You can ask a girl who you’d like to communicate with to come to the office, then you'll see if she is real .You can even ask her using ICQ of managers to wave you, to smile to you.

I think that it is definetly not worth it to work with an agency that charges you for openining and sending letters. You may consider paying for posting your profile and/or for buying addresses of the ladies you want to write to if the agency is reputable but definetly not for just reading letters whose origin you can't guess.

This is how they do it...

And of course MONEY is why they do it. Although it could be a good idea, and a few legitimate companies are trying to work out a better cheaper way for the guys to make some initial contact with foreign women, unfortunately e-mail is still not as readily available in other countries as here. Not even close. Unfortunately right now the paid e-mail connection is set up in a way that incourages fraud and deception.
Here is how the paid e-mail scam everyone is bitching about works. Companies working this same scam- contracts with a Russian marriage agency to provide the stable of girls- or anyone- to answer the e-mails. They provide the American connection, and the men with a credit card number. The men post their profile and suddenly begin to get a bunch of e-mails from very young sexy girls pretending to be interested in them. The guy could look like Shreks mutant cousin, and claim to be an unemployed homeless person living in a dumpster in New York, but as long as he has a valid credit card number he will still get answers. The girls or the Russian marriage agency doesn't care anything about the guy other than "Does he have a credit card?" so he can pay to open the phoney e-mails on line.
Think about this, the average daily pay for Russians right now is about 4-5$, so if the girls get only 1$ per e-mail... and the agency gets 2$ and the American based company gets 5$ and they are doing thousands of these things a day.... anyway you do the math.
Of course the Russian agency knows that certain e-mails " All I want to do is take care of my man. I enjoy housework and kinky sex...blah blah blah..." sent in tandem with photos of sexy young girls in skimpy bathing suits get the most answers. So they mass produce form e-mails. The whole thing is so simple and cheap to set up it's difficult for a hungry Russian, or American business man or woman to pass up.
The guys pay an average of $8 to open a phoney e-mail. The guy thinks well I had to pay for addresses didn't I? And I sent out five letters waited three months and got one response. This sucks! (He thinks this way because he hasn't done any research about international romance and how it REALLY works and he's looking for the quick easy way. If he did any research he would know in the beginning with the first contact with foreign women you have to think in terms of volume and send out lots of well written letters to get a few answers. Still about 95% of girls who take the time to answer a snail mail letter are for real, while about 95% of the girls working the e-mail scam, are not. Many, if not most of these girls don't even know their photo is being used because in Russia the court system is still in shambles and there is no conern of being sued byt anyone for anything. For more insight read my article under the FIRST CONTACT section of this forum titled.
"YOU'VE GOT MAIL- BETTER HIDE YOUR WALLET."
Anyway most of Russian marriage agencies involved in this paid e-mail thing are totally corrupt. The office manager looks at all the e-mails and does a quick touch up before anything goes out. The girls, if there are any girls, are not allowed to give out their real address or phone number, because the agency knows real contact will put an end to the paid e-mail. All the e-mails are designed to get your attention, to tease you, so you will open another e-mail from that girl and pay another 8$. Many times the same e-mail is sent to the same guy and he pays twice. "Huh? I don't get it she didn't answer any of my questions." That's maybe because SHE doesn't exist. SHE is just a photo and a name and an e-mail address eagerly awaiting your credit card number..
The best e-mails are used as form letters and sent out to hundreds if not thousands of different guys all over the world, using photos of different girls.
Anyway the whole paid e-mail thing is no different than phone sex. Except I think you get more for your money with phone sex. As long as you can at least "imagine" the girl on the other end of the phone is a hot shapely horny babe instead of a 300 pound sweaty unemployed Sumo wrestler with an estrogen problem. Still she usually as least SOUNDS like a woman, she responds, she brings a tiny bit of human touch to a weird fantasy.
But with the paid e-mail scam, a scam with a very small overhead, all someone in the Russian marriage agency has to do is cut and paste and hit the "Send to ALL" button in the office e-mail program. The person who wrote the e-mail could easily be a hot sweaty unemployed Russian cab driver named Andrei for all you know.
Trust me, The companies know all of this stuff and they are trying to pretend they don't because they are really hauling in the cash. But the word is getting out and what goes around comes around. And when the smoke clears they will have totally trashed their company name with this disgusting business.
The best you can do to fight it is to stay alert, watch your wallet, keep talking and tell your friends.
Thanks for your input and patronage to this growing website.
Sincerely
Tony B.

The following is an unedited exchange between myself and an Anastasia administrator:

Dear G...,

Thank you for clarification. The ladies are probably from one and the same local agency. I have forwarded your letter to my colleague, who carries out regular checks of the ladies and verifies contact information. She will take reasonable steps if necessary.

Thank you once again for being so careful to our service, it helps us a lot in running the website properly.

If you have any problems with our system or our ladies, or any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,
Alexandra, administrator www.anastasiaweb.com

Have you examined these profiles? They all share at least one passage that is identical, and four of them are exactly the same. Scammers listed on the blacklist sites operate in this manner. It's clearly a red flag for members.

Dear G...,

Could you please explain in details why you consider these ladies to be worth removing completely from our site.

Thank you in advance,
Alexandra, administrator www.anastasiaweb.com

These profiles do not speak highly of your service. Perhaps you should remove them and contact all members who are in correspondence with them.

...................................................................

In short, if I were corresponding with any of the ladies associated with these profiles, I absolutely would want to be notified by Anastasia of a clone profile in order to safeguard against fraud. Even if scamming is proven not to be a factor, notifying members of these likenesses should be first priority, and it is not. We foot the bill for this service, and should be protected from, and notified of any potential for fraud. Tommorrow, one of their clients could end up sending airfare to a scammer, and information that might prevent that is being withheld from members today. Not a very responsible way to conduct business.

can PROVE ANASTASIA SCAMS!

Here's the deal. I saw the site, though "hey, is this one a scam too?" So I filled out a profil, and within two days received almost a HUNDRED replies!!! Hmmm, generally speaking I'm lucky if I get ONE every SIX MONTHS! Anyway, so I went back to anastasiaweb and filled out another profile, as a WOMAN, and viola, JUSt as many emails from "interested" women. Hmmm, I nevert knew there were SO MANY lesbians ready to marry for a green card!

Reputable Service

One reputable service is www.allukrainebeauties.com. I know one of their translators and she is very nice. I've used them to send flowers and have photos taken and have received wonderful (and quick) results. They do not have a LOT of women (yet) but the more exposure they get, obviously the more they can expand.

Why take a chance with AnastasiaWeb.com?

It is my observation that Anastasiaweb.com and it various clone sites do suffer from a bad reputation in the market and are generally considered an unethical operation bordering on fraud. Most of the complaints about Anastasiaweb.com have to do with fake correspondence that subscribers must pay to read. Why take a chance with a service that has an unethical reputation associated with this kind of correspondence service?

As for me, I have chosen not to list or promote Anastasiaweb.com on my website because I do not wish to be associated with a company that has one of the worst reputations in the International Introduction Service industry.

anastasiaweb scam

Just more info for you guys out there considering wasting money on anastasiaweb.
I tried it rather reluctantly and posted a quick profile and got a bunch of letters within a day (if not hours). One of the letters from a lady told me how much she liked my brown hair & eyes (mine are blonde & blue). Within a very short time I received around 300-400 letters. I smelled a rat, but I had already prepaid for a few credits, so I decided to experiment with it. I got another letter from a lady (a person?) that was addressed to another guy. I complained to Anastasiaweb and they refunded my "credit" without a hassle, but wouldn't refund my money when I asked for it because I could see this was a scam by now. Of course I used the credit up reading a later letter from the same lady apologizing for the mixup.
Well, all the things you read about short, vague letters not really answering your questions are true. Go ahead and tell yourself it's probably a cultural thing or whatever. The whole thing would be laughable if it wasn't so criminally dishonest.
I travel to the Ukraine and Russia regularly (in the course of my work) and as soon as I mentioned meeting up with a couple of these ladies in conjunction with my work trips I get a sudden loss of interest from some ladies who were all too ready to have me write to them and "loved hearing from me" at $6 a pop (or $8 if you do 'em one by one)..... Hmmm?
I suspect there are maybe some legitimate females on their site but it is such a scam that I wouldn't use it ever again or recommend it to anybody.
You could end spending $hundreds if not a $1000 by the time you actually even make first contact with a real and serious lady that might actually be interested in you. Anastasiaweb is all about taking money from lonely men. If you don't believe me, go ahead and give it a try; I'm willing to bet you that within $100 worth of letters you will come to the same conclusions I have.
